Today: 16.55km walked
We took our first Uber this morning from Prague to the Airport. Public transport looked a little to painful requiring a few different transfers.
The airport was exceptionally quiet. Perhaps most people train their way to Prague.
At the airport I checkout our our trending health data in the shared Apple Health app. It was showing some incredible changes in our activity levels.
Mitchell for example is trending way up on kilometres and steps compared to home life. Mitchell’s trends are below.
My trends included my Watch data.
Our plane was hiding behind a bigger one at Gate A6.
Flight from the Czech Republic was 2.5hours. On the plane I read about King Charles IV who my favourite bridge was named after. He was granted many titles in his life and for his reign as Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire, Prague was the capitol city of Italy and the Empire desperate the Pope and Italy’s desperate plea for him to relocate to Rome.
I have installed a website plugin which should allow us to hover over Charles IV for a wikipedia preview. Try clicking his name in this website.
Landing in Glasgow at 2:30PM with no dramas walking straight into the UK. When questioned by customs Mitchell couldn’t recall where he was coming from, or where he was going to, but they let him in anyway.
We caught bus 500 and headed to our hotel. I thought I booked a hotel but realised before we left Prague nothing was booked. I booked the below for $75 each per night.
We took a walk to the Glasgow Cathedral. Where many important saints are buried.
We then climbed the Glasgow Necropolis which was a cemetery for important Scotts. We had a view of the cathedral we just visited.
We decided to spend some time in George square. Named after George III. We watched the roller bladers.
Then dinner. Mitchell had subway and I had a small dominos.
After dinner it was a walk through Glasgow Green Park. A lovely walk.
After this, it was 8pm and time to retire.
Thanks Tom and Mitchell, wonderful photos. Gran is really enjoying following your adventures. Hope your feet are going okay!
Great pictures.
What a super adventure with so much history.
Enjoy every step
