Feeling a bit better today, I ventured outside to have a go on the tour bus called the ‘Hop-on Hop-off’ Sightseeing Tour. My Mum first showed me these buses in London when we visited there.
I still wasn’t feeling 100% so didn’t want to do anything that involved walking just yet. A bus tour sounded perfect. It took me around the city and showed me the sights. I didn’t get too many great photos but I did get to see the Isar River, a river that flows into the Dunube River which also passes through Vienna and Budapest. Two cities I plan to visit in the coming days before I fly home.
I also saw a palace and gardens called Schlosspark Nymphenburg. A square called Odeonsplatz. An Olympic Park, statues, among other things.

While on the tour, I learnt more about the state of Bavaria in Germany. Munich is the capitol of the ‘Free State of Bavaria’ which we passed the parliament and other government buildings. As a state, it has its own police force, among other similar things we would expect for a state in Australia.
After the bus tour, of which I got very few quality pictures. I returned to the hotel for a lay down, but with intentions to go back out again as there was a church I wanted to see before I go.
I walked over to visit the Frauenkirche. This church is the cathedral of the Archdiocese of Munich. I got to tour the inside of the church.

After which, I travelled more around ‘Old Town Munich’ and visited the Old Town Hall. This was a lucky find. There was possibly a thousand people in this area and with a helpful question to AI, I came to learn that there was going to be a show in the tower.

Some music-box style music played and I got to see some mechanical figurines dancing and telling a story. These two displays tell the story of the marriage of Duke Wilhelm V to Renata of Lorraine in 1568, followed by the story of the Schäfflertanz, which is a dance originally started in Munich.
After this, I tried to find some dinner but didn’t have too much. I still wasn’t ready for anything to big I don’t think. I returned to the hotel and got ready for my train tomorrow.
